After reading Dr. Jessica Houston’s post, “5 Inspirational Quotes to Live By,” I am most inspired by both quotes four and five. From personal experience, Michaelangelo hit the nail on the head when he said, [custom_blockquote style=”red”]The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but it is too low and we reach it. [/custom_blockquote]
This quote then ties into Dr. Houston’s, [custom_blockquote style=”red”]Never let your past mistakes cause you to doubt your future.[/custom_blockquote]
For myself, I have big dreams of breaking out of the norm, but then I began to question how to make it happen. Referring to Dr. Houston’s post, “Going Beyond Inspired,” I have also talked myself out taking action and in return, aimed low and of course I missed achieving my goals. Past mistakes often times can cause much doubt and resentment, but we can’t allow perfectionism or societal pressures to suppress us into remaining inside the box.
Whatever it is that makes you a little uncomfortable, but will benefit you in the end; I challenge you and myself to do those things. These things are going to propel us to another level of our lives. It may be uncomfortable at first, but we all will discover greater success and joy on a new level that we would not have obtained had we remained the same.
I am here to #expectvictory and I will. You can, too! Here’s to the new Winning on Wednesdays here at expectingvictory.com!
